Scott Shockley, M.S., DABR
Scott was born in Birmingham. He earned a B.S. degree from Emory University, and a M.S. degree from Georgia Tech. He is board certified in Therapeutic Radiologic Physics from the American Board of Radiology. He is also listed in the American Board of Medical Specialties. Scott has been practicing medical physics since 1992. After obtaining his Masters degree, he worked under Dr. Karl Prado as an employee of the Moncrief Radiation Center and the MD Anderson Outreach Program. Scott has also worked in Atlanta and returned home to Birmingham in 1999. He is an active member of the American Association of Medical Physicists. He has co-authored a published paper on Gamma Knife Radiosurgery, and has been an invited speaker at local and national professional meetings. His interests include IGRT Quality Assurance measurements, prostate implant dosimetry, and inverse treatment planning with the Analytical Anisotropic Algorithm.
